The Office of International Education ( OIE ) and the Center for U.S.-Mexico Studies ( CUSMS ) proudly announces its 2010-11 sponsorship/scholarship programs for Mexican, Latin American, and Caribbean students interested in pursuing studies at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD):

Pilot Program for Enrolling Students from Mexico ( PPESM ) http://www.utdallas.edu/research/cusms/convocatoria2010.htm

UTD-Mexican Council of Science and Technology ( CONACYT ) Scholarship Program: http://www.utdallas.edu/research/cusms/conacyt.htm

UTD-Organization of American States ( OAS ) Scholarship Program http://www.utdallas.edu/research/cusms/oea.htm

The PPSM encourages students from Mexico with limited financial resources to enroll at UTD at either graduate or undergraduate levels. Students participating in the program will be eligible to pay a tuition rate equal to the Texas resident rate . Candidates must be citizens of Mexico , meet UTD and international admission requirements, enroll on a full-time basis, and show proof of financial need.

The UTD-CONACYT program sponsors Mexican students to pursue graduate programs, especially Ph.D. programs, with an emphasis on science and technology. Candidates must apply to UTD for admission and satisfy international student requirements. Candidates must also satisfy CONACYT's requirements. Mexican students already pursuing graduate programs at UTD are eligible to apply under certain circumstances. The scholarship includes tuition and fees, living expenses, and health insurance during the academic program.

The UTD-OAS scholarship program sponsors Latin American and Caribbean students to pursue graduate programs in all disciplines at both master and Ph.D. levels. Candidates must be citizens of member countries of the OAS. Candidates may apply through either of two mechanisms: (1) They may apply for admission directly to UTD and simultaneously submit their candidacy to the OAS National Liaison Office (NLO) in their home country. Fellowship awards depend on submission of a UTD acceptance letter to complete the file for review and deliberation. (2) Candidates may apply directly to the NLO, indicating their preference to pursue graduate studies at UTD. The scholarship includes one round trip airfare, living expenses, tuition and fees, and health insurance during the academic program.
